(Senior) Analytics / Data Engineer (all identities)

To strengthen our data foundation, we are looking for a (Senior) Analytics / Data Engineer (all identities) to join our team of three Data Engineers and six Data Analysts.
In this role, you will bridge technical engineering and business strategy. You will develop maintainable data models, collaborate closely with Product and Commercial squads, and help shape our Analytics Engineering standards in a supportive, AI-forward environment.

• Data Modeling: Developing comprehensive, well-tested, and well-documented data models in dbt built for long-term maintainability

• Pipeline & Script Automation: Building and maintaining scalable Python scripts powering ETL/ELT processes and company-wide automations

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Establishing close working relationships with business stakeholders, clarifying requirements, and explaining technical decisions

• Squad Representation: Representing the data team within cross-functional company squads, ensuring squad changes are understood from a data perspective while supporting them with metrics and insights

• Observability & Engineering Health: Strengthening project automation and integration using GitHub, CI/CD, observability/monitoring tools, and incident root-cause rigor

• AI Workflow Acceleration: Leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to accelerate development workflows, automate repetitive data tasks, and enhance code quality

• Technical Expertise: Advanced SQL proficiency and strong data modeling skills, alongside solid experience writing clean, scalable Python scripts

• Quality & Observability Discipline: Proven experience with data quality testing, monitoring/alerting, maintainable transformation pipelines, and incident investigation

• Stakeholder Communication: Excellent communication skills in english (C1) with a proven track record of bridging the gap between engineering and non-technical business partners

• Domain & Business Curiosity: Strong desire to understand healthcare business logic, operational processes, and metric definitions beyond heads-down coding

• Autonomous & Pragmatic Approach: High self-management capability to take full ownership of tasks, adapt to team standards, and solve operational problems pragmatically

• Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Physics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)

• Remote-first with flexible working hours: Office optional in Berlin-Mitte or up to 90 days a year outside of Germany
